Green and White for Spring

The following are some snapshots of a recent wedding that we just helped out with. The flowers were a vibrant green and white mix that really stood out against the girls’ dresses. Take a look! The bouquets were green hydrangea and berries with white tulips and freesia. Very fresh and springy!! Best wishes to the bride and groom!!

An Interesting Use of Red & Green

Here are some snapshots that we took of some pretty red and green bouquets. This was a January wedding and the use of the ivory with the red and green gives the whole arrangement a very winter-y feel. The bridal bouquet was a cascade style, with green roses and button mums, red berries and spray roses, bright green hydrangea, and white stargazer lilies. The bridesmaids carried a round, hand-tied bouquet with ivory roses, bright green hydrangea, red spray roses, and …

Labor Day Weekend Wedding

This is the wedding of Rachel and Max. We helped them out with their wedding on August 31st. Here are some beautiful photos by Susan Jackson Photography. The cuddly bride and groom. Rachel carried a bouquet of white hydrangea, white freesia, and ivory spray roses. The groom wore a white freesia with hydrangea accent. The bridesmaids carried blue hydrangea, pink berries, and white freesia. Alternating bridesmaids had green hydrangea in their bouquets, instead of blue. We decorated our chuppah with …

Fall wedding at the Chase

Fall is one of our FAVORITE seasons here at Sisters. Not only is the temperature a little more desirable, but the colors and flowers that we get to work with are out of this world! Here is a great example from this past weekend at the wedding of Susie & Sandeep. Susie’s bouquet had a rich, fall color tone. Circus roses, jade berries, red/burgundy coxcomb, ivory ranunculus, and orange orchids brought all the colors of the season to the ceremony. …

Last weekend’s snapshots

Here are some pictures of the bouquets from last weekend that we took before delivery: This was a beautiful bridal bouquet in true fall color and style. Deep royal purples (lisianthus, stock, and mini callas) and reds (roses, coxcomb) made a rich, lush arrangement to be admired by all! It was seasonal, but still very romantic! Here is an example of using fall seasonal flowers without having an autumn theme. This bridesmaid’s bouquet has a background of green hydrangea and …

Cool Color Schemes

It seems like one of the new trends in wedding color schemes is cool colors. We have seen many different shades of purples and blue lately, so here are just a few ideas of flowers to compliment that look. Here is an example of a bouquet of mixed purple and green. The purple hydrangea and lisianthus accented by the greens berries complimented the bridesmaids’ dressed well. (Photo by T. Kratzer Photography) This snapshot we took of a box of bridesmaids’ …

Unique, Unusual and Awesome bouquets

These bouquets use ordinary flowers in very unique ways. They were beautiful and awesome, just like the ladies that picked them…….. This round, hand-tied bouquet of phaelenopsis orchids, pink nerene lilies, and white hydrangea really combined texture and drama to create a unique look for the bride. This tear-drop cascade bouquet with pink roses, cymbidium orchids, hydrangea, lily grass, and jade berries was the perfect bouquet for this laid-back, garden style wedding. Here are the cymbidium orchids again, this time …

Attention Spring Brides!

This is a beautiful use of spring colors and spring-time flowers, for all of you who may be planning for an upcoming spring wedding. Laurie and Adam got married this past May. Here are some great pictures from Gail Fleming. Laurie’s bouquet included large white callas, pink mini callas, and green hypericum berries. The girls carried large white calla lilies for a very clean, contemporary look. These white hydrangeas were hung on the pews and lined the aisle for the …
