Botanical Garden Bouquets

Oh, how we wish for summer!  We loved this summer Missouri Botanical Gardens wedding.  The lush textures and soft, romantic blooms were so fun to design and arrange.  We combined roses, dahlias, stock flower, lisianthus, succulents, and three natural-looking greenery varieties to give our bride this look.  We are thinking warm and thinking weddings at our studio this week!!  Image by Megan Thiele Studios.

Organic Table Scape at Heartland Estate

This rustic table was full of organic elements at a new historic farm venue, Heartland Estate.  From the wood platforms to the succulents and greenery used in the arrangements, each detail reflected the organic theme.  Images by Storybook Photography. The overall idea was to showcase textures over colors, so we kept the general color scheme mostly neutral. Blue thistle added the only bright pop of color in the mixed greenery. Each place setting had a coordinating, but not matching, cluster …

Rainy Wedding Day at Salem United Methodist and Cedar Lake Cellars

Kelsy and Jeffrey had a unique wedding day.  Rain showers couldn’t take away their bright smiles as they shared their vows at Salem United Methodist Church.  Their awesome day continued with a celebration at Cedar Lake Cellars.  Enjoy these images from Switzer Film. Just as sweet as they can be! Kelsy’s bouquet was rustic and textured, but still had hints of formal and traditional.  She loved the green succulents that we added to the bouquet. The centerpieces were full, low …

Mt. Pleasant for Stephanie and CJ

Stephanie and CJ celebrated their wedding day with a ceremony and reception at Mt. Pleasant Winery last fall.  They were a darling couple to work with!  Photos by Julia Noack. Ceremony Decor We loved doing these textured centerpieces with hydrangea, roses, and succulents! What a perfect day for …

Formal Organic Summer Wedding

Megan and Andrew enjoyed a fun and formal wedding at St. Peters Church in Kirkwood.  Their style was fun and organic, but still formal and elegant.  Take a look at how we designed for them keeping their personal style in mind.  Photos by Patrick Pope Photography.   The bridal bouquet combined traditional blooms like hydrangea and ranunculus with the more organic succulents and berries.  The overall look is still very formal in color and composition but adds some fun texture. …

Organic Texture Wedding

Lindsey and Dave were married at Lindsey’s family’s home on a beautiful day this past September. Lindsey wanted a very natural and organic look to the entire day. Here are some highlights from Stevie Photography. Lindsey’s bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets were very organic. Lindsey carried a very loose cascade bouquet with lots of textural elements including succulents. The girls carried a rounded, more compact version with similar organic touches. The ceremony and reception took place in the backyard. A decorated …

Using Succulents

Using succulents is a trend that is becoming more and more popular in St. Louis. Succulents are small, star-shaped plants with plump, smooth leaves. You often see them in planters or sometimes in landscaping. They can be cut and used as a fresh green accent in bouquets and centerpieces. We love the texture that succulents can give to an arrangement. It is such a unique way to make a statement with your flowers. 🙂

Set-up at St. Albans

This wedding and reception was this past October at St. Albans. These snapshots were taken by our staffer, Chelsea. The back of the Sisters van loaded and ready to go! The reception was intimate and held in a tent with guest tables in a square with everyone facing in. The center tent pole was decorated to be a natural addition to the decor. The backs of the chairs had a cluster of succulents. The tables were lined with small arrangements …
