Long Guest Tables- What you need to know regarding flowers & table decor–

One of the current trends that we have been seeing more and more is long tables at receptions and parties.  The tradition of having a long wedding head table has even changed to a rectangular king’s table with wedding party sitting all the way around instead of only on one side.  This idea has trickled over into the whole reception and we are now seeing room layouts and celebrations with 8ft. to 16ft.+ tables, guests seated at all sides. The look …

Renaissance Grand Ceremony and Statler Ballroom Reception

Goldie and Mark were married late in November at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.  They celebrated with their family and friends in the Statler Ballroom following their vows.  Here are some images from Sal Cincotta of their soft, vintage flowers. Goldie wanted a vintage look with soft colors to include peach, champagne, pale blue, and blush pink. Goldie’s bouquet included hydrangea, roses, cremone dahlias, spray roses, and limonium. The maids carried textured mixes of larkspur, limonium, and roses. The ceremony room …

Palladium Reception

This wedding reception was held at the Palladium in September. The Sisters design team helped create this modern look in the bride’s shades of purples. Here are some of our snapshots from the day- Three different centerpieces were used in the space. One was a grouping of submerged flowers, one was a tall arrangement with branches, and the third was a mixture of purple hues and textures. 🙂

Tropical Inspired Centerpieces

These are some snapshots of a tall and short centerpiece we did recently as a mock-up for a client. Bright, tropical flowers were the order of the day! The Tall: The Short: 🙂

Bright Bat Mitzvah at the Magic House

January was a cold month in St. Louis! Luckily, Sisters was able to help out with this bright, warm event at the always fun Magic House. We worked with a lovely family on their daughter’s Bat Mitzvah on January 8th. Here are the wonderful photos courtesy of Josephine Havlak. Decorations at the temple included mixed spring flowers in the event’s colors- green, orange and hot pink. For the party, we decorated all the guest tables with large vases of green …

Bright Colors at Lumen

These are some of our snapshots we took of a wedding reception we did in September at one of our favorite venues, Lumen. We created tall and short centerpieces in vibrant colors. The flowers really popped off of the black and white linens! The “wall” at Lumen is another fun place to add some color with small vases of flowers. 🙂

Tulips and Looped Grass

This fun piece was for a grand opening. We filled a large cylinder vase with willow branches and orange tulips and attached some tulips up in the branches. We tied grass loops all throughout for a very contemporary feel. This arrangement had a presence made a statement!! 🙂

Love Story of Amina & Phillip

It was a joy working with such a charismatic couple in love! Amina and Phillip were married Oct. 23 at Christ Church Cathedral and celebrated with a reception at the Four Seasons. We worked closely with Lacy Branch Events who coordinated the design for the day. These phenomenal shots of the event are by Bobbi Brinkman Photography. At the reception, we decorated with three different arrangements for the guest tables-one submerged with orchids and floating candles, one sort and lush …
