Boho Wedding Photo Shoot

Sisters Floral Design Studio recently took part in a photo shoot at Heartland Estate.  The theme was Boho Fall Wedding.  Here are some of the amazing shots by The Lovely Lens Photography. We created this Boho bridal bouquet within the merlot, ivory, and grey tones to give it an autumn feel. We thought the asymmetrical shape and drape to this bouquet was perfect for the Boho feel. Greenery for the ceremony chairs.     A pretty table set for two. …

Vibrant & Natural Wedding & Reception at 9th Street Abbey

Lara and Nick had a beautiful wedding and reception at 9th Street Abbey.  They wanted a natural and “hand-picked” look for their flowers.  Here are a few shots from their day by L Photographie. Vibrant coral, red, peach, and purple tones made up the bridal bouquet.  Ranunculus, roses, and anemones were the perfect blooms for Lara. Lara wanted her bouquet to be an updated version of the traditional cascade bouquet.  We used loose greenery and multi-layered blooms to make this …

Winter Wedding with Anemones

This past January, we designed these wintery flowers for our bride, Brianna.  She wanted classic white and ivory with a loose and natural feel.  Here is what we came up with……. (Images by Kaitlin’s Photography) Brianna’s bouquet was a mix of tulips, stock flower, roses, anemones, and draping cedar. The bridesmaids carried a clutch of all tulips with a similar look and feel as the bridal bouquet. We love this look for all seasons.  With a few minor changes in …

Fantastic Coral Peonies!

Heidi and Josh were married in May and wanted a bright and natural look to their wedding.  Heidi got some of the most gorgeous peonies we have ever seen in our studio for her bridal bouquet.  Frankly, we were in love with those coral blooms!  Though rare, the coral peonies are becoming more and more available from year to year.  Here are some images by Shelly Goodman Photography. Coral peonies, ivory tulips, peach ranunculus, waxflower and loose draping greenery made …

Spring Wedding at Moulin

The spring-like weather has made us reminisce about our favorite spring weddings.  Here is one from last May.  Patti and John enjoyed their wedding and reception at Moulin surrounded by family and friends.  Not only is Patti a former wedding vendor that we have worked closely with, but she is also a friend of the Sisters team.  We were so honored to be a part of their day.  Here are some images by SJ Macky Photography. Shades of purple were …

Blush Pink & Ivory Wedding & Reception at the Westin

Kerri and Westley are a lovely couple we had the pleasure of working with on their December wedding.  They said their vows and celebrated their marriage at the Westin.  Here are a few of the photos from the amazing Megan Thiele. Kerri’s bouquet was a blush and ivory mix of peonies (yes in December!) and roses with a collar of seeded eucalyptus. The bridesmaids carried a mix of white hydrangea and blush spray roses with the added texture of the …

Monochromatic Yellows

Katherine and Rob’s wedding back in May reminds us that spring and bright, warm weather will be back!  Their monochromatic yellows were soft-textured with some bold pops of color.  Images by Kelly Pratt Photography. Katherine’s bouquet was a mix of deep ivory, butter yellow, and bright yellow.  Many textured blooms and greenery brought lots of interest and softness to her bouquet. The maids carried monochromatic yellow bouquets. Rob’s boutonniere was a white freesia bloom. The other men wore bright yellow …

Black and White Decor for a Missouri History Museum Wedding

Libby and Marc celebrated their marriage with a wedding and reception at the Missouri History Museum.  Here are a few images of the details of their day. (Photos by Joel Marion Photography) Such excitement! The black and white ceremony was in the same room as the reception.  After the wedding was over, the room was flipped and many of the details seen here were moved to make room for their unique table settings. The flowers were designed to compliment the …

Snowy Delivery to Forest Park Golf Club

We have had our share of unexpected weather here in St. Louis. Here are some winter-y shots of a wedding we delivered on March 26th. Strangely, the temperature a few days before this delivery was in the 70s and 80s. Take a look! Here is our delivery van full of bright orange tulips. This reception was at Forest Park Golf Club and every table had vases of bright orange tulips. Thank goodness for the tulips! They served as a reminder …
