2024 Art in Bloom- People’s Choice Award Winner

Sisters was thrilled to be selected this year to participate in the Art in Bloom exhibit at the St. Louis Art Museum.  Floral Designers are chosen from dozens of applications and assigned an art piece to represent with flowers.  We were given “Carnival Mask, Green, Violet, and Pink” by Max Beckmann.  We studied the painting and the artist at length before deciding on the blooms we would use.  We featured hydrangea, protea, bells of Ireland, tulips, anemones, and forsythia, just to …

Furry Wedding Guests–Llamas at Maison du Lac

When our clients say they are having their furry friends come to the wedding, we always enjoy making them flower collars for the big day.  Llama wedding guests were new to us, but we love the way the flowers and pictures turned out!  The llamas (& human wedding guests) enjoyed the rust, burgundy, & peach hues of the bouquets & arbor flowers.  Apparently, roses, snapdragons, & baby’s breath are quite tasty to a llama!  Share in the comments below if you did …

Fun with Flowers and the Vault at the Noble

Some venues have such unique places for flowers.  We had a blast designing this piece for the vault at the Noble!  We incorporated the fall tones of the wedding with roses, snapdragons, disbuds, delphinium & autumn greenery.  The vault flower piece was used as a backdrop for formal pictures (some a little silly), as well as a focal point during the reception.  Guests were able to enjoy taking selfies with the vault & flowers throughout the night.  What are your thoughts about this embellishment?  Let …
