Vows at Coronado Ballroom

On a very pretty day this past May, Colleen and Josh said “I do” at the Coronado ballroom.  Here are some gorgeous shots by L Photographie. Colleen opted for a very traditional, textured bridal bouquet.  Classic can be so beautiful. Dark purple and blue tones were used in the rest of the personal flowers. Blue and purple blooms decorated the canopy for the ceremony. Many blessings, Colleen and Josh!

Touches of Orange

Bright orange can be a great color for summer.  Brides don’t have to be shy about using it in their bouquets, even if they want something more traditional-looking.  Here is an example of using pops of color throughout the personal flowers.  Photos by Creative Visions Photography. Orange ranunculus add the pops of bright color the this bridal bouquet, but the textures and shapes are still very traditional. More orange shades were featured in the bridesmaids’ bouquets and complimented the bridal …

Bright Coral Wedding at the Hyatt

Bright colors in the summer are such a playful expression of fun and lively personalities.  Danielle and Michael’s wedding was full of both!  We enjoyed designing the array of corals, greens, pinks, and oranges for this whole wedding.  Enjoy these gorgeous shots by Bobbi Brinkman Photogrpahy! The bridal bouquet was a blast of brightness using lots of textures and shades in the same color family. The men’s boutonnieres were a few small elements to mimic the details of the bouquets, …

Vintage – Inspired Wedding

Every soft bloom in this wedding was selected with a vintage inspiration in mind for our bride, Madeline. The antique color palette brought femininity to the bouquets and the petal-y flowers were soft and inviting. Our favorite flower types for this particular bridal bouquet were the white ranunculus, ivory garden roses, and light pink hydrangea. Photos by Under Grace Photo.

Picture Perfect Texture

This bouquet is a favorite of the designers here at Sisters. It has so many soft, textural elements. Each one gives interest and draws your eye in without being too busy or overwhelming. This look was achieved by our design team and their knowledge of the bride’s overall look and style for the day. This is a design that is unique and will not have been seen often by your guests or wedding party. We think it is simply divine! …

Orange, Blue and White at Cathedral Basilica and Mahler Ballroom

This mid-March wedding brought some bright color to the late winter weather. Orange and white flowers were seen at the Cathedral and the blue was pulled in at the reception. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were white mini callas, orange ranunculus, and Lily grass accents. The bridal bouquet was orange roses, white mini callas with lily grass and crystal accents. The couple was very traditional and wanted a bright, full bouquet to place at the Mary statue in the Cathedral. At Mahler …

“Let’s Do the Math” – A New Sisters Blog Segment

Here’s a fun yet informational segment that we have decided to include in our blog. Very often, brides bring in or email us their inspiration photos for their bouquets or centerpieces. These pictures are helpful in getting an idea of style, color, textures, etc. However, occasionally these photos from wedding websites or magazines can be counter-productive and/or misleading. This new segment will address these inspiration photos. We will attempt to “do the math” on pricing and other specific details of …

Pops of Color

Sometimes having a pastel color scheme doesn’t mean you should shy away from bright colors. Here are two weddings that had somewhat subdued color schemes with pops of color. The bride’s bouquet had peach and white accents to her bright pink peonies. Her bridesmaids’ bouquets stayed very subdued in just whites and blush pinks. The centerpieces at the Piper Palm House carried through the pastel peaches and pinks with the pops of pink peonies. Another bride we had that same …

Seasnoal Peonies, Sweet Pea, and Ranunculus

Earlier this year, we designed very spring-looking bouquets for one of our brides. We used seasonal flowers including peonies, ranunculus, and sweet pea for the bride and her maids. Here are some shots we took just before delivery. This bridal bouquet showcased green hydrangea as a background, ivory roses, and white sweet pea. The sweet pea is the paper thin, clam-shaped flower seen all throughout the bouquet. The bridesmaids carried these bouquets of white peonies and orange/coral ranunculus. All three …

Black and White Anemones at the MAC

The following are some snapshots that we took at a wedding reception we did at the MAC. The wedding color scheme was mostly black and white (with a touch of pink at the ceremony). We were able to use our black wrought iron trees and black and white anemones and other flowers to bring the theme into the ballroom. Our trees with hanging candles and crystals are accented by white birch branches to bring in the black and white theme. …
