Anemones and Roses

These bouquets of roses and anemones really take the cake!! Thanks to Kandise, the bride, and Moser Photography for these great shots!! The bridesmaids bouquets were like the bridal bouquet with the exception of the bride’s initial rhinestone pin and white mini callas. This mom opted to carry a few wedding flowers rather than pin them onto her dress. It’s also a great summer option when some dresses are sheer and have nothing to pin to. Best wishes to the …

Professional Shots from Lace

Here are some beautiful professional shots, courtesy of Lace, of the wedding we blogged about earlier with the stacked bridal bouquet. This wedding was held at one of our favorite locations, Cafe DeMenil. Thanks to Lace for these gorgeous shots!!

Stacked bouquet

This style of bouquet is very unique. It’s an example of a stacked bouquet that uses different types of flowers in layers instead of mixed together. This was a bridal bouquet that we did in April. The top layer is mini callas, the second layer is ivory roses, and the third layer is mini gerbera daisies. Stacked bouquets usually have a more linear shape verses a rounded shape like most bouquets. This is what the bridesmaid carried. It was a …

Bright Colors and Texture

These bouquets are great examples of bright mixed colors and LOTS of texture! They are from a wedding we did this month. This bridal bouquet was a shop favorite here at Sisters that week. It included purple stock, mini callas, lisianthus, blue thistle, fuchsia heather, and looped lily grass (and later purple anemones). We LOVED all the textures and brightness! The bridesmaids’ bouquets had the opposite color scheme of the bride’s. Fuchsia stock, anemones, heather, purple lisianthus, and looped lily …

Amazing Anemones

Anemones are a great flower to use if you have a spring or early summer event. They are a very versatile flower that comes in lots of colors. They are similar to a poppy and usually have a dark center. Here are a few snapshots of how we have used them recently. Here are white anemones with full sized dark red roses. These anemones are a very bright pink. Anemones are a very beautiful flower full of texture and interest. …

Terra Cotta and Eggplant

This was a beautiful mix of colors and flowers. We used eggplant mini callas and terra cotta roses in this bridal bouquet. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Westin. We arranged two tall rectangles with submerged mini callas and roses to be used as “altar pieces.” Thanks to Engaging Events by Amy for coordinating a great event!! Our best to the bride and groom!

Pretty Spring Bouquet

This spring bridal bouquet makes us want to see some more sunshine and robins!! Pink mini callas, ranunculus, hydrangea, and white cymbidium orchids are accented with sweet smelling pearled stephanotis. It’s such a soft, spring bridal look and we loved it!

Wedding of Lorraine and Ven

Here are some snapshots of a wedding that took place on March 7. We also helped out the bride and groom with the flowers for their rehearsal dinner (see the blog entitled “Rockin’ Rehearsal Dinner”). These are the flowers they chose for their ceremony and reception–all at the Ritz. This is the bridal bouquet. It was all purple mini callas with white cymbidium orchids. The jewels and bee pin were provided by the bride as a “special touch” for the …

Deep, Red Fall bouquets

These are some beautiful examples of red bouquets and flowers, without using all roses. Lisa and Brett were married in early October and had a very elegant reception at Hyatt Union Station. Photos by Denash Photography. Lisa’s bouquet was a mix of several different types and textures of red flowers that included mini callas, orchids, roses, and hypericum berries. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of all red mini callas with looped lily grass accents. The entire reception was blanketed in candlelight. …

Romantic Red and White

Here are a few shots from Shannon and John’s wedding on October 11th. Shannon chose a beautiful all white mixed flower bouquet for herself, and all red roses for her bridesmaids. (These shots were taken by the bride’s friend, John. Thanks, John!!) Congratulations to the newlyweds!! We enjoyed working with you!!
