10 Year Anniversary of Sisters

Ten years ago this month, Emily opened Sisters Flowers. It started as a small retail shop in Kirkwood and has grown into a design studio that we are all proud to be a part of. We had some challenging years in the beginning (starting out right after 9/11) but thanks to wedding vendor friends and our wonderful clients, Sisters Floral Design Studio is flourishing. To be able to conceptualize our designs and see them come to life is a blessing. …

A Very Special Wedding……

This is an exceptional week at Sisters Flowers. Our very own David is marrying his bride, Traci, this Saturday. David has been a part of the Sisters team for a number of years. He has helped deliver, set-up and complete numerous weddings right along with us. We have been so fortunate to work next to you, David! Now, we get the great joy and sincere honor of designing all of the beautiful flowers for David and Traci’s wedding. We have …

Guess Where This Bouquet Went……

We put this cute little tussy together for a client of ours. He proposed to his girl at top of the Arch and gave her this bouquet of pretty pink flowers. Cute, cute, cute!!! She said yes, by the way……. 🙂

Sisters has a New Design Studio!

New this summer, Sisters is proud to showcase their “industrial chic” consultation space. We outgrew the cottage and have moved both our production and consultations to our new location at 431 East Clinton Place– still in the Kirkwood that we love! We enjoy the potential that a new space brings and we look forward to servicing our clients in style and comfort! Still the same Sisters in a new and improved space! 🙂

Sisters Flowers has a new location!

We are growing and moving up! Sisters Flowers has recently moved into their bigger and better location on East Clinton in Kirkwood. Pictures of the new design studio will be on the blog and Facebook soon!! We are so excited to showcase our talents at a larger facility that will contain all of our consultation, design and productions needs. 🙂

Beautiful Tent Reception

This gorgeous set-up was for a wedding reception we did in Cuba, MO at the groom’s family’s lake house. The linens, tent, and flowers all flowed so well together with the backdrop of their beautiful home. (Photos by CMR Photographer) This sweet bride brought us her own vases in all shapes and sizes. We designed a different arrangement for each vase in her colors with a very gardeny feel. 🙂

Past, Present and Future Sisters

This is a great Sisters story! One of our dear former employees, Colleen, moved to Colorado in 2006 and started her own successful wedding flower business called Oakes Fields. SO, when another former “Sister”, Christa, moved to the same area in Colorado in 2008 and started planning her own wedding, we told Christa to get in touch with Colleen. The two former “Sisters” got together and Collen did the flowers for Christa’s January 2010 wedding. Here are some pictures from …

Lush, Garden Centerpieces

Loose, lush and garden-y are some of the words we have been hearing this season. The vintage-garden look is very popular for bouquets as well as centerpieces. Here is a collage with some great examples of garden centerpieces with lots of texture. Our blog is full of other great examples of lush, vintage-style bouquets and arrangements. Look back at our past work! 🙂
